Do you find that sometimes things seem to go missing in your home ... only to suddenly turn up in an obvious place a few days later .. ?? How on earth can that happen ... ?? A few days ago I brushed my hair .. put the brush down and then couldn't find it again ... I was sure I had left it on the dressing table ... I had to go out and buy a new hair brush .. !! Yesterday, to my complete surprise the brush suddenly 'reappeared' on the shelf in my bathroom ... I suppose I must have left it there ... but I was sure I had looked on that shelf and hadn't found it ... how weird is that

When something like that happens to me it feels like I am in a bad episode of the Twilight Zone. There is just no other explanation for these strange occurances. I used to think it was my kids that were moving things around, but they are all grown and have left home and it still happens. Maybe Steven King has a book out on this topic.

yes, i always do... i could be looking for something for ages and just as I gave up and stopped looking, it suddenly appear.... v. strange. maybe when we are anxious or trying too hard, our eyes and mind play tricks on us? or did anyone saw the movie Dark City... that one has a pretty weird theory abt it....

My hubby and I do this constantly with our keys and sunglasses! Lol, we joke that if we designated a certain spot to put our keys and sunglasses that we would forget where that spot is! It never fails, we are always searching for the keys. Once, my hubby tore the bedroom apart looking for his license...I came in and asked him what he was looking for. I start trying to help and go to look in his nightstand drawer, he tells me he already looked in there, but I decided to look anyway. What do you know..I open the drawer and it's sitting right on top of everything in the drawer. I think when we are in a hurry we overlook the obvious. For some reason the item we are looking for seems to blend in with whatever it's sitting on. I didn't know objects could do tricks!

It is called "Young Timers" it could also be a Guardian Angel who loves to play tricks...I usually yell out loud(yes my neighbors think I am crazy)"I want it back, you can't stop me from going out" and it usually works...mind over matter.

All the time. I know I lost my cell phone in here about a month ago and I just can not find it anywahere. I cleaned up the whole house. Lifter up furniture, looked in things and everything I just could not find it. Last night I could not find this medicicne I just bought. I ended up digging through the trash and it was in there in the bag from the store. I blame my husband for that.

Oh boy! You know what they say, " A place for everything and everything in its place." Yea, right. I live on a different planet. One of my favorites is when I have something important, and know it is important and put it in a special place to be sure it does not get lost. Of course, I then cannot remember this important place. Would have been better to let the thing lay around with all the other junk. Have a wonderful day.

Hahahha ... this happens to me too ... anytime I have something I want to keep safe I probably should just throw it down on the table .. it will sure to be safe there ... because for sure if I put it away tidyly I shall never find it again ...

Once I had an application for the counties sheriffs dept. I was so anxious to fill it out, because I had a hook up on the inside so I was sure to get the job. I left it on top of my tv where it could be found. But when I went to fill it all out and mail it in, it was gone. I tore my house up looking for it. Finally one day passed the deadline to get it in, I found it. Right there on top of the tv. See in situations like this, I believe is ruled by the intervention of God. It was not in his will for me to have that job. Everything happen for a reason, it up to us to figure it out. Do you live with someone Patootie, maybe it tine for you to stop sharing that brush if you do.

I am a singleton .. and I rarely have visitors come to see me as I usually go to their homes to visit ... and certainly the visitors I do have hadn't been near my bedroom or bathroom ... I do seem to get a lot of things go temporarily missing though ... I mislaid my mobile phone last January .. I searched and searched .. I even had a neighbour helping me ... then one day there it was lying in the bottom of my handbag .. a handbag that had been emptied out and searched several times both by myself and by my neighbour .. and I had used the handbag on and off for 3 months ... !!

I am good at misplacing things.I put up things all of the time and cannot remember where I placed them.I have this ring with a cross on it that I am always losing.but I always find it.I lost it again about a month ago, usually I would panic, because the ring is so very important to me.but since I know in my heart that I will find it again,I am just patiently awaiting that day.

I think it is a wee purple goblin who does to see how many people he can make think they are losing their minds. Maybe their is some kind of awards for the most people goblins can drive crazy in one day.

yeah it used to happen to me a lot especially when i was in school. I was always looking for , searching for books or my notebooks when i needed them only to feel disappointed at not succeeding in not finding them as i was guilty of not keeping them in one place. And funnily when i didn't require them they would appear from nowhere when i am searching for something else or when one is cleaning the house. it seems bizarre. but that is how it used to be. lol

I'm often put things up only to forget where i put them I once put up the form for my car tag,. I put it just where I would not forget it or lose it. It was swallowed by the companion to the sock eater. I looked for days for the form. One year later I found it. I had put it with my crocheting. The for some reason I stopped crocheting for 1 years. When I was clearing things out there it sat right where I put it so it wouldn’t get lost. I’m always leery of putting things away out of sight for this very reason. Too much senioritis going on here.

I lost my necklace sometime back. My family members scolded me like anything. After two years, I was cleaning my rack and an unused eye glass cover was found. When I opened it, the necklace was in it. May be I have come from a function very late and feeling very sleepy must have kept the necklace in the eye glass cover and forgot about it. Like this there are many incidents.

Oh yes, that happens to me sometimes. I use it as a motivator to straighten up my house. The importance of the item determines how hard I try to find it. If I can live without it, I will just count on the fact that I will come across it sooner or later. If it's sometime I need that day. I will usually start organizing my entire house until I find it. Of course I start with the most likely places. You know the old saying...a place for everything and everything in it's place? well, I have about three places for everything. For example, my keys are either hung on a hook near the front door, or on a table in the living room, or on my kitchen counter, or in my purse! I have the same issue with houshold scissors and scotch tape. There are 3 or 4 places where I keep those. Hairbrushes also have a few places where they could be.
