Garage sale finds

I purchase I think was a Royal Doulton dolls. I brought it for I think $8.00. I sold it on Ebay for $95.00. I probably could of gotten more money, but I limited my auction to U.S. customers.

One day i stoped at a yard sale. They didnt have anything that I wanted but I hate to stop & not get anything. So I knew my boyfriend use to collect baseball, basketball, & nascar cards along time ago. She had a whole bag full so I asked how much she wanted. She said they were her huspands & she didnt know. he was at work so she asked if $5.00 was okay, of course i didnt know either. So I said sure, didnt real care since i was just buying them so i didnt leave empty handed. Well anyhow, got home & gave them to my boyfriend. he went in to fits! He kept yelling "do you know what this is worht? Oh my god, look at this one!" He got on ebay & looked up the value of about 10 of the cards (there was about 300 cards in all) Those 10 cards alone were worth a combined total of $8000.00! & I only spent $5.00 on them. Wow, we made a good profit!

One Saturday, we were on our day to my husband's brother's house. I make my husband stop on their house because I saw the garage sale sign. he didnt want to stop but I made him and we found the pump set for the pond for $10. They are over $60 dollars in the store! I was happy and of couse my husband got happy too. We just have to dig the pond for the pump......

I don't go to very many garage sales - even though I sure wish I could. Maybe this summer will be different... I have gotten some hardly to never worn jeans for my daughter for 25 cents a piece. I have also purchased a Cozy Coup Car for $5 - new they are about $40-50.

David Bowie Records or vintage clothes. Sometimes I'll find a good cd or two, but nothing too extreme

I got a french provincial couch and chair for only twenty dollars. It was quite worn but for the price I had to buy it. I have since reupholstered it and it is absolutely beautiful. I get so many complements on it.

Vinyl Records..old toys...I like sales by older people they have a lot of cool retro stuff. They think it's old and out dated and replace it with newer stuff..and I get something really neat and unique!

myself i like to read alot and with books getting so expensive at the store so usually can find some...
