I don't know how many people have heard about this, but the U.S hase the first Muslim ever to be eleceted in Congress.Keith Ellison of Minnesota. The big controversy right now is he wants to be sworn in using the Quran instead of the Bible which is what has been used ever since their was a Congress.A lot of people are really angered by this.I really don't see the big deal about it. It is his Religion. I would love to hear opinions on this from all kinds of beliefs.

What good would it do to insist on a Bible? He is swearing an oath, and it should be an oath sworn on what he believes in, not what others consider traditional. We have in our Constitution the guarantee of Religious freedoms. How can that be denied a duly elected representative?

That is what I thought. If you don't belive in what you are swearing by,what good does it do? And what scares me is that a lot of people who are offended by this are those who have sworn to uphold the rights garunteed in the Constitution. It seems to me they are not doing their job.
