will IT industry prevail for a long time

hey friends
we all know that information technology has a great demand in India and other countries...many students have a craze on this particular field.. how many of u think that this industry will prevail for a long time...
many say that , in this field we can earn money but in our later years we would get health problem as we work in computer for a long time
what is your opinion about this..

i think according to the IT industry only the fiteest survive..
It's becoming a great issue that the top IT companies suspend their employees without any prior notice or something like that...
Further our health particularly our eyes are worsely affected...

well i dont think , the field will be down , but main points are the other filed which will grow up fast now , like biomedical , biotechnology , tourism and etc
