How poor are you that the money earned on MyLot means anything?

Maybe I'm just ignorant to other people's econimic situation, but I don't understand why there are so many people here concerned about MyLot "earnings." It's like they consider MyLot posting a career or something. Like it provides a significant income. Anyone else think this is strange? Why not just get a job. Minute for minute, do you realize how long you have to work to earn just one dollar?
