I want to go on a diet for the new year. What are your suggestions for me to lose weight? What are your effective ways?

Cut down your calorie intake by 200-500 calories. Walk for about 30 mins a day, at a pace you are comfortable with. Eat meals that are low in Saturated fats and have zero trans fat. Most people should eat around 40-60 grams of fat each day. To help lose weight cut this down to about 30. Eat lots of whole wheats if you eat breads or pastas. Eating healthy isnt that bad at all. I was a junk food junkie and never thought I'd be a health nut. Its a lot easier than I thought it would be. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion. I enjoy cucumbers a lot, so I'll eat them. :)

First, clean up your diet. No junk foods, no canned goods, no cured foods like hotdogs, bacon, etc. No ice-cream, no sodas, no coffee or tea. No smoking. Eat natural foods as we are designed to consume food that way. The natural way. And a good 3x a week, 30mins a day walking exercise is a good way to start up for beginners.
