Who is the Best Housekeeper in Your Family?

For me it has to be my Aunt Irma. Her house is always spotless. I don't know how she does it. When she had kids and a dog and a husband, it was still spotless. She never had a maid either. And she always had a full time job as well. Now she lives alone, so it looks really pristine. Truly, when someone is that good at something, it's just a mystery to me.

If you mean in my entire family, that would have to be my mother. She seems to have always loved cleaning and most of the time you could eat off of her floors if you wanted to because they were so clean. For my very immediate family, it would be my husband when he is in the mood to clean, which isn't really all that often. I have the best DESIRE for a clean house, so I end up doing most of the cleaning. I have never understood how it is that some people just have a talent for making their house look spotless and others, no matter how much they clean, it still looks messy.

I live alone, so I guess that I am the best housekeeper here. My mom always kept her house spotless, so I learned from the best. Besides being a clean-freak, she was extremely organized; everything had a place and everything was in its place. I inherited that from her also. I like to come home to a clean house, and I like knowing that I will never be embarrassed if anyone stops by unexpectedly. It's much easier to keep it clean than it is to do a power cleaning job when you're expecting company.

My mother is the most immaculate housekeeper in my family. She calls me the "Googala Monster!" because where ever I go, I leave behind a trail of "googalas!" meaning pieces of leaves, little sticks, dust, foot prints, you know, a basic pigpen dust trail, or whirlwind, depending on who's saying. To me its just the stuff that sticks to me as I walk to her door...but that's another story. Her floors are WHITE and never dirty! Unless I'm around...

My mother in law keeps an immaculate house and car. My own car starts looking like a travelling suitcase so easy. I'm always moving around during the day between part time work and full time mothering, and stuff just accumulates. And we won't even talk about the house, it's too depressing! But I have made strides toward improving all of this stuff, but starting with the flylady stuff. Already I can see the teeny tiny beginnings of a cleaner and more organized life. I'll never be at the same level as my mother in law, though, and that's really okay with me. I'm looking for something in between where she is and where I am now. She routinely cleans everything (or very near everything) with bleach and water just to keep it perfectly clean. Even when I do have that kind of energy, there are so many other ways to use it!

Simple, its my wife. Before I married her it was easy to see that this was a house occupied by a bachelor and his two teenage sons. The three of us even spent the whole weekend before she and her two children joined us from Russia, cleaning the place. I thought it looked great, until she went to work on it the weekend after she arrived - to say the least , our weekend cleaning job must have been less than complete. Now the place looks wonderful.

It's me for sure. My husband makes the mess, and the cats help him. Hehhehe. So, guess I'm the one that picks up after them and cleans. I like my home neat and clean, and that it is.

My mother-in-law. We would go and visit and she would apologize for the mess. I looked around and everything was in place. My husband said that he could wear the same set of play clothes everyday because she did the laundry every single day.
