Cop killers get 35 years in jail. Child killing hit and run driver gets 3 months

Yesterday here in the UK two cop killers were jailed for 35 years, if they had shot a member of public it probably would have been only 7-10 years with parole in 3 and a half years but every day we hear stories of hit-and-run drivers who get what is basically a smack on the legs. Most recently a 24 yr old killed a 4 yr old girl and got only 3 months in jail. He didn't even get a driving ban or any endorsements on his licence. Now they are talking about bringing back the death penaly here in th UK, but only for cop killing. Why are crimes against the police treated more seriously? Because the punishment is not consistent enough with the crimes that are commited against the public

oh what law do you had? i think cops are taking care of people it seems that cops are more important than the community. and this is what i observe if the cop was the victim police will work hard to capture the suspect immediately but if the ordinary people were the victim it would take long to resolve the case.

Thanks for your comment. I know cops work very hard at their jobs, but so does everyone else. If you kill somebody the law should be the same.
