Studies!!! Do we use them what we learn in school and college?

We study all our life mostly,
but i have this question what percentage do we use that thing or information or method that we learned in school in our daily life leave apart sub,add,div,muk,mod ....
Tell me did you use it or it helped you in anyways????

well, studies during our school days are tailored to give us a general level of education. we cant say from the very beginning whether the five year old in front of us will want to become a marine engineer, a historian, a lawyer, a software professional, a journalist, or a doctor!!
so we cant make him study medicine from standard 1 to make him a doctor, for instance. he has to learn language, mathematics, history, science.... everything for him to discover his interests.
similarly, at a higher level also, one has to build a platform for himself before he can launch himself towards more specific goals!!
