Why do people create Computer Viruses?

Computer virus create so much losses.I dont understand then why do people create virus.Is it not distruction.

well viruses are basically created in order to destroy a particular database so that the important documents are destroyed....people create viruses because these people does not get employment so they engage in such activities in order to get money from the anti-social elements....
