Money is just paper, gold is just a metal then why do people go crazy after it?

If Money is just some form of paper while gold is just some form of metal then why do people go so ga ga over it? It may sound crazy but the fact still remains that we are giving a piece of paper so much of importance, breaking relations over it, killing and murdering because of it?

Money is a piece of paper but it is a special kind of paper without which one cannot live their life. One will die and suffer without that piece of paper. Gold is just a piece of metal but it is such a special kind of metal that if one has that it will help that person to live a more luxurious life or enjoy their life more.
And that's what people want, to live and to enjoy thus they go crazy after these two things.

Hi Soumodeep, Thanx for your reply. Agreed that money does make the word move but what about our ancestors very long time ago. They didn't have money nor did they have gold but yet they were happy, they didn't kill or rob or murder. We have so much yet we are still uncivilized.

hi dear friend i agree without money you can not make your growth.But person who have good satsfaction level he can even survive in small hut.In total population of world almost 80% of peoples living there life by earning each day & spend money on that day itself.Poor peoples dont even think of big world because they have decided their own satisfaction environment in that they are happy.

Agreed that Money rolls the life but at the same time it does roll the life out of life. Very sad but true.

because they think that money is the key to all happiness and all success. and also the key to have everything they want. which it is in a way but the way they get there is what is the most important.

I think people are crazy after money bcos every person has a need eg house car.So these needs always makes a person to go after it .

i totally agree with you on this. there are so many murders and fighting over money and jewellery and i just don't get it. ok it is nice to have a bit of money every now and then but some peoplre must have a big void in their life if this is all that motivates them. i don't know how you kill another human being just for your own selfish gain. money will never bring you total happinees anyway without the love of family and friends. you will find most people that do this are deeply insecure and feel the need to flash money and the bling bling in order to be accepted.
