First of all do you have Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware on your computer installed? If yes are you constantly updating this to latest updates. Now back to your problem, First run full virus and spyware check on your computer then Check your add/remove programs and uninstall softwares you did not install and or not using at all, then check those unknown files on your program files, if these files are executable files chances are these are harmful files delete it if you dont know the files. On the temporary folder have recently encountered a disk error and run checkdisk on it. If yes then these temporary files might be files result on the checkdisk. I believe you can just delete these files as this are located on the temporary folder. I hope this helps you troubleshoot your problem.

Hi there, let me check if i understand your question well, I assume you have a Windows OS, first unwanted registry file can be deleted using registry editor just open regedit, second registry are just entries this does not eat up lot of disk space, are you referring to unused files/programs sitting on your hard drive, on a Windows operating system you have the uninstall option found on the Control Panel, all you have to do is uninstall unused softwares or programs. I can give you more tips but please just be specific on what you want to be done.

You could use RegCleaner. It is a free software and i am using this and found it really cool and good in removing unwanted, old and obsolete registries in our computer occupying unwanted space and slowing down your computer thus. It is free to download and use. it is a very easy to use. It even removes and uninstalls the softwares that your are using just like a normal uninstall option. It itself occupies less space in your computer also. But be careful when removing registries, remove only old and unwanted ones as you may damage your computer if you delete any important registries. You can download RegCleaner here: http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/archives/reg-cleaner4.3.htm
