Help with dog chasing her tail

I have a Jack Russell Terrier who is 9 months old. I have had her now for about a month, and she chases her tail alot! At first I though this was cute until she started catching it and kept doing it even though it hurts herself. This is now very annoying not to mention painful for her. Is there anyone here that can tell me how to train her to stop this, or why she does this? Thanks :O)

A lot of dogs chase their tails. Jack Russell's are really hyper dogs anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. If she really and truly hurts herself bad enough she'll stop it.

I thought jack russells were supposed to have nipped tails?!?! Has hers been cut? If so, that would be very funny, because it would be a short tail to try and catch!

This is great... it`s a funny one... the best advice I can give you is to see a vet... or a person who trains animals ... can you please put a picture of your dog here chasing her tail... I would like to see it... !!!
