Why do so many people have high money expectations of MyLot ?

As I am looking through a lot of discussions and posts on MyLot, I can't help noticing that a lot of users have got (too) high expectations of earning money ...
For me it's just a forum to read other peoples opinions on certain topics, and to give mine sometimes.
I think that if you really want to earn bigger amounts of money it's better to work for a few hours than to sit at your PC screen for hours.
The result of people thinking to earn lots of cash is that a lot of discussions and posts are of no quality whatsoever !
Everyone must have seen that kind of junk, with lots of time the same answers that are saying nothing.
Be honest : things like "Are you a boy or a girl ?" or "Where are you from ?" are not discussions and just fill up the MyLot space ...

Hi There!
I think it has too do with price indexes and stuff like that. My Lot probably pays the same amount to everyone. What would buy a cup of coffee in the USA can maybe buy a couple days food in other places. Just a thought. If the money was significant by my countries standards, I might be trying to pile up points too and I say more power to those that can...Just so long as My Lot doesn't get any ideas about charging me. (Ohhh Think I'll start a discussion on that after Christmas)....Anyway Merry Christmas to you.

I understand your thought on the value of money in different countries. However, I don't agree that is okay for people to "pile up points". Regardless of how much money is worth in someone's country, it does not make it right that they cheat this system.
And, by the way, if others are falsely working the system, it will be taken away from you in the form of lower earnings.
As a final note, I believe that members should be here for the sake of discussion, not to make money. And the administrators need to take a more active role in deleting members who are violating the rules that are clearly stated in the alerts that everyone has received.

I agree with your opinion. It is only natural if people wants to get money. In some countries, the money they get from Mylot isn't substantial in amount, so they consider it merely a bonus for being active in the forum.
In some other countries, that amount of many is considered substantial, and since (perhaps) employment opportunities are rare, it feels really good to be able to do something that you like and get paid for it. I mean, get paid not just a bonus but also 'earnings'.

dont be mistaken bout me im just here for the opinion debate and discussion.Any way the answer to your query is maybe because they are in dire need of money and they are lazycrippled enough to stand and find a serious job.....or stuck for all their life in front of a computer!just report abuse dude and mark them...shalom...peace be with you!

Reporting abuse makes sense for those who are abusing the terms, and rules. But not for those who are on and post alot, or are disabled, crippled, or on a computer alot. Lets see. I find TV, Boring... At least on Mylot I can interact with people. Learn, Study, Teach, Have fun, and earn while doing so.

Yeah, I guess I'm kinda using mylot to kill some time and feel like someone is actually taking the effort to read things I deem worthy enough to waste the time typing. Not a bad bonus if eventually I get pair for it....

I'm not here for the money and realize that typing one word comments on every post will earn you less that contributing real comment to just a few discussions.
Sooner or later these people will get frustrated and leave...no big deal.

To really be frank I want to earn some extra bucks but I do my level best to reply with quality posts. I don't waste time by giving some meaning less answers.

I have a few low quality threads but I agree with you. Anyone who sits here all day every day trying to replace an income with earnings from Mylot will just plain starve. And I think it is even funnier when people complain that they only earned a dollar or 2 per day. Go out and get a real job! Use Mylot as a passtime or to fill in with a little extra income! To me that is where the rewards are.

I guess there are many people that don´t think what they write... they write some meaning less threads, thinking that they will earn some more money with that... I´m not sure that they are getting so much money to continue doing so, but anyway I guess those threads will continue...

yea i agree. usually you get the green by working, it doesnt just fall of the sky while youre not doing anything. this, in my opinion, is the least we can thank mylot for at least paying us to meet others and try and help them. to tell the truth, i really am happy to the amount of money they give me for posting.

I am not a routine visitor on mylot. I normally come here when i am in search of anything and ask my collegues at mylot. But one thing disappointed here is that people are not giving good response. Morover large number of feedbacks are on MONEY related questions and not on other discussions.

mylot is greate program if you are asking us this question i will ask you one question too why mylot wants more people to come into mylot why he wants more
discussions from us .....have you think of it.first think of it.mylot is not just a
discussion forum it is money discussion forum.......they are getting much from us therefore they are giving only small of it to us.first understand logic behind mylot
then blam the others......

I think its because todays life its hard to get enough cash to sustain a dependable living. Most of the people here are from third world country. Today our country is not considered third world, but its still feels like it. Rising prices and gas prices the average worker that has an average sized family will have problems in living. In our country our standard of living and the minimum salary is so low that we put other third world countries to shame.

yes its true that there are no quality discussions in mylot.
mostly poeople here sign in for money only.
and make empyt discussions.
actually 1 person can raise only limited questions. but since we wil be padid only if we are goign to post many messages , here people start posting s all meaningless messages...
first of all to earn money here ,people start to write , post messages conutiouly evryday , whcih actually leads to unnecessary messages.
how can a person keep discussing on lot of topics for a long time continuously??? in reality if a person is asked to do by his interest , it is really not possible .but for money man will do anything.
