I've heard that by Madonna kissing Brittney was an act of symbolism. Madonna was symbolically "passing the torch off" to Brittney, as if to say, "You're the next big thing". I don't know if I'd read that much into it though. If I were to guess, I'd say they did it for exactly what they got: Attention, press, shock value. Personally, I thought it was stupid.

It's all about rating. I would kiss George Michael's a*s if somebody give me a million. Rating means money. You can make your dreams true with money. This is life.

I guess it was because of fame....and also they were celebrating the VMA's 20 years...Madonna created controversy on its first year.....and what better way to create controversy 20 years later than having the Queen and Princess of pop share a kiss? Loves it!

The famous celebrities always make any mischievous things & get into problems to get big hype. This is also related to that. These days the lesbian acts & gay marrieages are in making big news. so, they just want to make thier names in headlines. by doing simple lesbian act.
