Hi my friend just pointed your discussion out to me a few minutes ago. I see however that this was posted 7 months ago/ Are you still wanting any advice or support? I do hope you have lots of support. I have a 23 year old daughter with Aspergers Syndrome. I will wait until I hear from you via reply or comment before I add more details .

Hi 301, yes I would love some advice if you wouldnt mind, would it be easier to email me, my addy is helenr underscore 944 at hotmail dot com.
What age was your daughter diagnosed? My son was 4 and he is 8 now, and although he is doing really well and coping OK, I sometimes worry about what is going through his head. Any ideas? Any advice you have for me would be greatfully appreciated.
I did post my comment 7 months ago and for some reason I have only received responses these last few days, so not quite sure what has happened there!! Never mind, at least Im getting responses now.

I have a son who is having aspergus syndrome. Bill Gates I was told is having aspergus syndrome. We are taking our son to psychiatrist and he has been given some medication. The children who have this syndrome have some difficulties in understanding, they need to concretise the normal things too. They laugh at any strange words instead of thinking oflearning it. The concentrate excessively on certain subjects and totally ignore certain areas. They do not socialise with others. They have special skills to learn faster than other children. They need to be guided in behaviour. They may or may not create minor trouble in the school. Fortunately my son goes to normal school. You can get plenty of literature on aspergus at www.autism.com

I have never heard of this disease, but I think you could find different sites and chatrooms about it online. Then you could find people in similar situations that could give you moral support and pointers.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. I DO know the support you can get from chats with people can be very helpful. Good luck!
