I have a lot of different things that I take medication for,my mom is taking medicines for the same thing, some did my uncle, as well as some of my cousins. Is high blood pressure, diabetes, high choleterol and asthma all passed down through the families?

I think it's a combination of family genes, behaviour, and environmental factors. I have recently done some looking into some of the things in our environment and how they effect our lives. I've taken steps to remove harmful byproducts out of my environment and I do believe it's helping me become more healthy.

I think it is a combination. Since it is in the family it means you are more prone to getting it. Somethings are genetic and they have proven that however other things can pop up without a genetic link. I do think that it can come into with what we have learned, eating habits, excercise habits etc. but that alone cannot always be the culprit.

I don't think it's a curse, it's the habit that is passed down from generation to generation e.g. eating habit and all other vices.
