'Christmas' Party changed to 'Winter Party'

Is this right? Or are things going a bit too far? Christmas is meant to be a religious time of year, hence why it is called CHRISTmas, but now it is getting forgotten.... For example, last week a primary school changed its annual 'Christmas party', to 'winter party'. Are we going to PC? Another example is images of the baby jesus, and other nativity scenes, not being allowed on stamps......... Afterall, the true meaning of christmas is the birth of jesus
