Boxing Day Swim

Although winter is now here,every boxing day my city has a Boxing Day swim where you take a dip in the ocean then get out and try to get warm.Have you ever gone for a winter swim in the great outdoors?

No, Do not wish to become a winter popsicle. It take me a long time warm up and i hate being ccccold!!

While I agree the getting cold part of the day is not a highlight,the warming back up with the right person can make it a very special day!Thank you for your reply.

Nope.. closest to it, was a dip for a bath in a stream in Maine on the last day of october.. it was very cold.. been to a really cold beach before too.. but a winter swim? not me, nope..

LOL. I put this discussion out 6 months ago when the temps were under 32 F .Now it is summer in the 80's and a dip in coool water DOES sound a heck of alot better,doesn't it?Thank you for responding.
