Inasmuch as I'd like to take all my work with enthusiasm, sometimes I'm just not in the mood to do so; so I just tell myself to do this or I'll rot in discontent. :)

well I will say I do not look at everything with enthusiasm such as my math college course I dont like math I tend to do it because I have to so I get it done. I will say other things most things I tend to be enthisiastic about def my german class I have been in german for 5 years and have had an A every year. you do better if you have enthusiasm but not everything has it.

It is true. I had great enthusiasm in maths but failed 4 times. With great difficulty I passed the exam, soon I changed from science to art subjects and I stood 1st in the whole college. By and large, enthusiasm drives the people towards success.

its true if u don't have any Enthusiasm or eagerness, interest, passion, zeal, keenness, excitement, fire ... towards ur work u donot reach towards ur goal or achievement. in my opinion if u really want to be success do ur all work carring thsi quality in u otherwise u will be looser and u always blame to others .

You said it very well. You have explained how impotant the key words like eagerness, fire, zeal, enthusiasm, interest and passion in fulfilment of one's desires. All those things should pass through the test - honesty.
