i think manowar comes from 3 words, MAN OF WAR it should be manowar. yes, a great name and i agree manowar is one of the best band ever

I meet manowar at 1st mega-fan convention in Geiselwind and i was in 1st line at the concert... absolutely fantastic! Of course the best hevay metal band in the world... Other bands play...

To me it was the name of a famous American racehorce. I think he raced a long long time age (1930's maybe. Probably he won the triple crown and that's why he's still famous. (Someone from Kentucky will log on here and tell you all about him.)

I don't know why but the word jelly fish popped into my head. Was there a famous racehorse by that name as well? I'm going to look that up.

Either I watch too must history channel or play too many strategy games, because I was automatically thinking on the terms of an old war ship. K, I feel old and out of the loop, as usual lol.
