My mother has my grandmother's china but we do not use it. She is trying to find out some values. I have checked ebay and a few other sites but not much luck. Anyway they were made by Homer Laughlin. The pattern is called Silver Rose/Patrician and they were discontinued in 1939. Thanks!

You can send the picture plus any information you have to the Antique Roadshow (they have a web site). They have many appraisers and they will let the expert in that field look at it. They will then tell you exactly what it is worth. This is a show on PBS in case you've never heard of it. They do this all the time.

For that era I would try looking up depression glass.I used to work for the historical society that salvaged Emily Dickinson'd brothers house "The Evergreens".I am used to dating much older pieces, but it looks like you've got a nice complete set.Look up any markings at all that you find , even though you've got a lot of info already.
