there was no world cup in 1998 ,it was in 1999 my friend.australia won it in 1999.

there was no world cup matches held this year but the year after in the finals australia won the cup against pakistan.that is pakistan were the runner ups and india was out of the end matches.

I am sorry to say but i think u have little cricket knowledge. The world cup was held in 1999 and not in 1998. The 1999 world cup was won by Australia.
