Any talk on getting Firefly going again? I had heard some stuff, but nothing much lately...

Firefly and Serenity - Serenity was after the Firefly series and many of us are hoping that it is brought back
We would like to see it resurrected, lots of talk but have found no evidence that it will be brought back anytime soon. If the talk keeps going perhaps that will lead to its return. I had hoped for something similare for Carnival from HBO. However, no one seemed to know of it. I hope that this discussion will enable more talk to bring back Firefly!!!

Definitely! The more people talking, the more it shows interest, one would hope. I doubt Fox would do it, unfortunately, so it'd have to be something like the sci-fi channel. I wish people were still willing to do syndicated series such as ST:TNG was, because then that would be an option. I guess there just wasn't enough money in it. :(

firefly movie - many of us were enamored with this movie and hoped to see its return. With enough action of the people it is possible that it could be redone!!
Despite the information of the other responder, I still think that enough people put the effort into it the possibility could come together at a later date. It is all in the interest and scheduling. It has happened before! Let us hope for sometime in the future they do get it done!!

I agree, it would be good. Farscape, for example, a show I'm still absolutely in love with even though it ended 2+ years ago, was at least given a miniseries to bring the overall plot to a close after being abruptly canceled on a cliffhanger. Talk about outraged fans! The FS folks were zealous and extremely persistent. Are there enough zealous, extremely persistent, and extremely well-funded Firefly fans out there?

Based on everything I've read and heard, there will be no more Firefly on tv or movies. The franchise is still expanding in other mediums, like the comics and the upcoming game, but Joss and the cast have all moved on at this point. They all say they would be thrilled at the prospect, but Joss is neck deep in doing Wonder Woman and many of the cast members and writers are now working on other series. I would love another Big Damn Movie, but it seems all but impossible at this point.

Well, that's a shame, but I guess all good things end, some much sooner that we'd like. I'm glad we at least got Serenity.

Unfortunately for us fans, Joss Whedon has said clearly that at this point there are no sequels or ressurecting the firefly but he hasn't said NEVER! There's still hope! If not in a vague and distant kinda way. I would love to see this show get picked up by another network, the fandom is there! People will watch, but at least we have our DVD's and fan friends to keep the spark going!

It doesn't look like it but it would be fantastic! We just need to continue to spread the word and recommend the dvds and Serenity. Maybe great sales will convince those who need to be convinced.

DVD sales can never hurt, that's for sure!! Neither can good ratings wherever it is rerun. Since the sci-fi channel is rerunning it now, I think, it would be a good time to try to boost ratings.

I was hoping Firefly would be resurrected, but it appears there is no hope for that now. :( Boohoo! Now Joss Whedon is focusing on his new show, Dollhouse, which premiered last week on the Fox Network. I hope it's a success! Firefly will always be one of my all-time favourite shows.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that Nathan Fillion, who played Mal, was on Lost in the last episode before the break, and Sean Maher was on the A&E movie Wedding Wars just recently.

I am goign to add to the negativity in posting and state that I highly doubt the series will be brought back to life and if something similar did happen to come to be with that title it woul not be the same as the old and yadda yadda no
