Are trafic lights dangerous?

This is a new approach that I think it can reduce the danger a lot even though creating longer trips consequently. Traffic Lights some times are not effective at all at certain places but it fits in other places.

Traffic lights are a necessisity. I feel they should not be removed.

This type of intersection is very popular here in Nicaragua and also in Costa Rica. The USA might possibly make them more elaborate and possibly safer than they are here. The ones here help keep traffic moving good. However, there are more accidents at them than in other areas of the city. They do work pretty well here though because when the electicity goes off, which it does often here, the traffic continues to move as usual because there is no dependence on lights.

it would help in some cases but not all like in slower moving areas but in really crowded areas it would just cause problems

Hi there... Its a hard one to actually say it will make people pay more attention, because their are some real idiots on the road who wont give a stuff about the next person or motorist and just wont to get to where they are going at any cost. I had read an article about this not too long ago...
