What is the best rock concert that you've ever been to?

pearl jam stick man - This is a picture of the Pearl Jam stick man. This image was used on t-shirts years ago and is now a popular tatoo. In fact, i'd love to have it myself.

What is the best rock concert that you've ever been to? Mine is Pearl Jam because they are my favorite band and are rock icons, but as far as the absolute best rock show, I would have to sat that the honor belongs to Shinedown. They rock live. Never have I felt such an energy flow! It is amazing! Let me know your thoughts please, as well as ansering my question.

I have been to some good shows... but the most amazing show I have ever been to was when I went to see The Dillinger Escape Plan. I've seen them twice so far. Their music is so intense, technical, it makes the mosh pits so fun. Not only that, the band is going crazy on stage aswell, throwing their guitars around as they play, jumping off of amps, the singer smashing stuff, grabing audience members, the guitarests and singer throwing themselves on the crowd. Its quite busy and can get quite dangerous haha. My one friend took a guitar in the back of the head and had to get stitches hahah. At one point in the performance the singer came down with alchohol in his mouth and a torch and was in the moshpit whithin a few feet from people breathing fire upwards. It was so amazing. The fire seemed to fit right in with the moshpit's intensity and dillingers intensity. I'll never forget seeing them and I'm going to see them again once I have the chance. Its MADNESS! haha

aren't rock shows grand. I love the energy of rock shows too, though I tend to stay out of the mosh pits.

I never see things get out of hand in moshpits. If anyone falls down, there are at least 5 hands reaching down to either give you a hand up or pull you up. I've fallen a bunch of times in mosh pits and everytime I was helped up.

I have seen Pearl jam three times in concert, and I have had the time of my life each time. One of the things that makes a concert is the receptiveness of the crowd. it is great when you hear almost every person in the audience singing almost every song. I have never seen anyone get out of hand, or problems start at a PJ concert.

I've never seen any of them live before, I am glad that you enjoyed your experience. There are few things like a good rock concert.

I went to Pearl Jam's concert last October. It's the best concert in my life so far. I go to Incubus next March, I wonder if they can beat PJ ;)

I've been to Pearl Jam several times and would have to say that those are the best shows I've ever been to. However, the most pure fun I've ever had at a show was seeing Andrew W.K. at the 9:30 club in DC. Pure mayhem and a great time.

i didn't ask if you did or didn't, I asked what was the best one. Why did you even bother to leave a comment if you don't go to them. You got a neg. rating for that, I almost reported you, but refrained.

The best concert I have ever been too was Ben Harper a few years ago. It was a fairly small gig, and I had a front row posistion. The opening act was a little band called Brad. I had never heard of them before, but thought they were great. When I heard, the guitarist was Stone G... and this was a side band he was in, it was even better :)

Bruce Springsteen in Dallas, November 1984. He played two 2-hour sets and an hour of encores. 5 hours for $17.50 -- amazing.

I have been to a fair few rock concerts and it's hard to decide which ones were the best. I absolutely love Pearl Jam and the firs time I saw them I was really sick but wouldn't want to miss it in the world. I felt so miserable but was so happy to finally see Pearl Jam live. A few months back I saw them again and I think that was my favorite concert, I really appreciated the fact that they are touring so I truly enjoyed the moment. Some other rock concerts that were very memorable where Rage Against The Machine & The Prodigy. There was so much energy!

I went to see Alexisonfire at a placed called "the church" in Philly. They have a little stage set up in the little basement - it's usually smaller bands that play but every now and then bigger bands like Alexis play and it's usually amazing. For this show there wasn't a ton of people there but there was a good number. They played a pretty long set and then came out and played an encore. During the encore me and my friend got pulled up onto stage by George to just go crazy and kind of sing along. It was amazing.
