Is todays women on an equal footage with men?

Everywhere we talk about equality for men and women with equal rights. But is this really happening in every walks of life? In my country India, There are still lots to be done to achieve this. What about other countries?

ya but in abroad the thng is no so.am also from the same country and feel lot to be done for womans equality in urban area

I think everyone should be treated equally regardless of gender, race or age, we are all equal and should be treated that way.
