How many times have you felt that some incident occurring in present has already occurred with you, you have already gone through it, experienced it, and the same thing is happening again!!! How many times have you felt this and been able to predict what's going to happen next! and it really happens the same way!!I have experienced this many times. What could be the reason behind this? It's a mystery. Do we actually experience things over and over?

hey i have felt it a lot of times, lost count, and in my case, whatever i am seeing/feeling/hearing or saying and if and only if i want it to be repeated in future, then only it will be repeated again in future and when i will be in future and feel it again, then i would be able to rember that yes i have wanted this to be remembered in future is this different from deja vu? as in Deja vu, you just simply feel/see/hear what has happened in the past and you are currently feeling it, but unintentionally have you experienced what i have or you just see them unintentionally i.e. you don't say to yourself, that "i hope this could be felt again in future"

i want to know that is this a disease which we are having? is this can be cured somehow? even if this is a disease and can be cured, i want to live with it, coz i see it as a exclusive power of going into future or telling what will happen in future, and i don't want to lose it, coz i don't have any problem with it, except that when i tell that i have experienced some events in past like this, they take it as weird and strange and don't believe me, and think i am a fool, stupid or mentally ill, lol although i m not so, else 70% of the world population will be ill as according to wikipedia 70% of the world population experience Deja vu in their life

This is certainly not a disease :) It is human. but some may feel it more often than others, or some won't feel it at all.

Yes, thats what I am talking about. I feel the same way. I don't know if one goes into future or how does one experiences the things that are yet to happen..but thats the mystery!

In fact god has given so many powers to the human being but these powers are required to be developed by meditations., yoga etc. You might have developed these powers.

:) No Rishi, I haven't developed any powers. In fact, many people feel this across the globe. They certainly haven't developed extra powers too!

Right, Nothing super natural about it. It's very human I think, and still something we don't totally understand or reason. Thanks for dropping in!

i agree with neo it is being felt by every one all u need to do is to really open ur eyes and ur senses so that u can realize it and ya i almost evrytym have a deja vu and u cant call me abnormal for that or will u?? i am a normal person and i believe that its just that some people realize it and others dont there is nothing supernatural about it

In my experience, there are FOUR circumstances that relate to this sort of experience. The FIRST is an illusion. I recall one singular instance in which this was made clear to me AT THE TIME that it happened. I was watching a school play, and during one scene I got an incredibly strong sensation that I had seen this exact thing before - a "DEJA VU" moment. But in this case, the sensation was so intense that I actually recognized at the time that I HAD seen it "before", because the "before" was what I was seeing at that moment! In a nutshell, I was RECOLLECTING the experience at the very same time that I was HAVING the experience. Peculiar as that revelation was, I have subsequently read psychologists' theories on the phenomenon of "Deja Vu" that posits just such an explanation for this all-too-common experience. The SECOND is a GENUINE recollection of a past experience. A "past life" experience, perhaps, or maybe just some very similar circumstance from your present life. This is a logical inevitability. No doubt, this sort of "Deja Vu" moment DOES happen occasionally. I can't recall a particular example, so I'll let you do your own musing on it. The THIRD is when you inadvertently read someone else's thoughts BEFORE they say or do whatever it is that they are about to say or do. Everyone does this without actually appreciating what it is that they are doing. I have at least a dozen instances of this that I could quote, but I don't want to bore you. Suffice to say that reading the thoughts of others is a natural faculty that we all possess but rarely consciously use - a faculty which is just as natural as that of seeing or hearing, albeit generally far less developed and exercised. Incidentally, it's a faculty equally possessed by your pets and other animals of the world. The FOURTH is when you look into the future, to foresee an event prior to its emergence into the present. This is another faculty which each of us naturally possess to a lesser or greater degree. In a sense, it illustrates that we each exist across time, and not just in the present. I have many personal examples of this, each being generally just a "snippet" of what is imminent before it occurred, and in each case not attributable to simple projection of the present. Not that it matters - the best explanation of any situation is always the simplest, so why fight the obvious? If one desires to examine this area in more detail - to get some appreciation of the scope of the natural human faculty for seeing through time and space - then I would suggest a study of the biographies of some of the more notable mystics that are readily available, for example Padre Pio of Italy and Sister Anne Catherine Emerich of Germany, to name just several amongst many. And if it occurs to anyone to ask why it is that the more Saintly amongst our numbers generally seem to have more highly developed faculties of this nature, then one might consider that it is a reflection of the actual underlying reality of the world we live in.

I think this is good enough and I am happy with this :) I won't go for the mystics biographies! Thanks!

Deja Vu is something all of us must have felt at some point of time and now that we know what to call it we're more vocal about it than ever. Movies like the matrix have made good money cashing in o this reality. Being a believer in past life and karma, my guess is that Deja vu is what we feel when u get a glimpse of something from a pst birth.

fare enough, but how could it be related to our past lives? I do believe in rebirth and karma, but i don't think it's related to past life, or some even from past life triggers this so called 'deja vu'. It could be our mind breaking into future for a fraction of a second and we experience it immediately in the presence.

A 'deja-vu' has to be a glimpse of an event before the present timeline logically speaking. It probably has happened to us before hence we feel familiarity to it. No explanations here, I can only make guesses.

you say that m crazy but it has happend several times ...that i feel that i have experienced it before.......maybe human bings have the ability to see the future but only we don't know how to use it....i guess we are unfamiliar with this vision/ability /intelligence............i don't think its a memory of previous life coz whenever we experience it we have see that we have done the same thing before and looked alike....i don't think we can look alike in all birth

This happens to me too often, but i am not able to comprehend the reason behind it. May be it is a case of last birth.

Yes I too have experienced this many times.I too get an intution before if anything bad is going to happen.I don't what may be the reason correctly. But this intuition is called sixth sense which everyone has.But only some develop that sixth sense. If we practice it then we too can know what is going to happen. This is what some yogis practice.

This was a bit off the track? May be it was not! But I found some clues. Different words but similar experiences.

God has given each and every person some power, it depends on the person how sooner he discovers it. @ Topic : It has happened to me many times with no Specific Timing usually when i'm very tired or excited.

I experience deja vu very often but i am not able to predict it. When an event is occuring or when it occurs, I many a times feel that this has happened before. I dont think there is some mystry in deja vu. It is just a feeling.
