Why do we only get paid for the first response to a topic now?

I have noticed this month I can not make one post but have over 100 responses and hardly get paid anything. I figured out what it is the first response gives you one point and that is it all you earn for is that one point. I have noticed this all this month because there have been many days that I don't post anything and get responses but hardly paid anything. I don't get why though because we finally have it where quality topics get responses now and now we don't get paid for them.

Our rating does only go up one point for responses to our posts. I believe the pay system includes other responses, however. I've been studying this as well. I do not think we get paid on days when we do not participate, however. There have been days that I only answered a few posts, myself, but I did respond to multiple responses to my own posts and got paid quite a bit.

I quit a long time ago taxing my brain and tying to figure out the pay system. They don't want us to figure it out. I just try to do my own thing and watch my pennies add up.

I'm with you. I didn't come here to retire from working just to make a little change and have some interesting conversations along the way. I have a job, actually several so this is a part time, when I have the time, thing to do. I'm not looking for a paycheck and I would probably post even if I wasn't getting paid.

It might be changing all the time, this happens a lot. They might lower how much everybody earns if there are a lot of small 'one liners' as comments, and they might increase how much everybody earns if there are a lot of large descriptive and informative responses. Who knows.

I agree. It's too difficult to figure it out, so just sit back relax and try to have some fun whilst posting! *laugh* I find that I make on average 2 cents for every post that I've made. Less than three cents, but a bit over two. If I make that much every day (which I have done, so far) plus a little from my one referral, I'm pretty happy. I wasn't on Mylot long enough ago to know how they paid for responses earlier. I can understand why they wouldn't be able to keep paying for every single response that one person gets in a topic. Some people would be getting paid thousands, methinks! *laugh* And I know that we would all rather have Mylot stay a sustainable site that can pay us, than pay us all unreasonable rates! ^_^

I think it's just so it makes it harder for people to cheat by only going to one topic and posting replies to every comment on it.

i think it is to make it harder (like other people in this discussion as said) so people dont just join in one discussion but more

I think we are being paid for each of the responses put on our discussions. I sometimes make only a few responses to others discussions and still make a good amount for the day because people are posting in my discussions. Go figure. It could all change again soon just to keep us on our toes!!

mylot payment system is sure confusing,I wish there was a definitive answer but they may change everything at any time. I think they limit the number of time you gain money by posting multiple time in a same post so people participate in other discussion. Also I believe that the pay change everyday depending how much money they make on the day.

How about we quit worrying about how much we get paid and just post quality stuff? If we all do that, then we will eventually make money. I'd rather make a little less and be interested in what's on here than make a ton with crap. Crap isn't going to keep people coming back!
