Christmas being all about the bling...

I am appauled at what Christmas has turned into. I thought Christmwas was all about the thought ? The thought which counted most? I thought Christmas was all about being with family, exchanging gifts, and just enjoying supper.
However its not the case anymore. All I hear lately is "oh we got XYZ gift" or "oh he was giving me all this monnnneeey" No offense, this is not a jealousy thing here , but please keep your bling outta my face. I want to enjoy Christmas for what IT was meant to be, not have an monetary value attached to it.
Thoughts?

Hey,
Definitely christmas is about being together and enjoying with family,but also there is a santa factor..so the kid in us ..is brought out every year where we wait to see what santa has left for us in our stockings or under the christmas tree..
