Yes, he flew in the first episode of 4th season, when he came back to Earth from Kripton as Kal-El: a stone found by Lex sent a signal to him while Lex was flying on his airplane; Kal-El flew towards the airplane, opened the door and took the stone, causing the plane to lose pressure and fall down.

The producers have always said that they have a "No flight, no tights" rule for Smallville. It's a touchy relationship that Warner Brother's television has with Warner Brother's pictures over the Superman franchise. They're actually two separate divisions, in order to use rights from one franchise, the other has to license them as if they were a separate company. Warner Brother's Movies owns the rights to the Superman franchise, so Miles and Gogh are restriced in what they can use on Smallville. Like, they can't actually use the Superman logo, and they were denied permission to license the character of Jor-El, so they could use a voice, but not an actor to play him. The "flying" sequence is from the firt episode of the third season, and it's actually just a really high jump, it wasn't actual flight. I think the episode was called "Kal", if I recall correctly. It's the one where the use the black Kryptonite to fix Clark after he ran off to Metropolis with the red Kryptonite ring.

This is one of my favorite shows! I've watched it from the very 1st episode! He flew when the woman from Krypton showed up, but she helped him, if I remember right. He hasn't really been flying lately...just speeding off really fast. So, I'm not sure how they are going to show him flying or when. If I'm mistaken...somebody remind me...lol

now the smallville sucks man .....its boaring .in every episode same thing happen ... story is stoped at one place .no progess in story .
