Any of you crochet in pure wool so that you can full it heaily afterwards by running it through a hot wash to get a felted surface texture? I do some hats and bags this way and its a very easy way to achieve three dimensional felted objects. Its worth trying if you havent done so yet, just use pure wool or it doesnt work properly.

Bags are great to do, usually fairly quick to construct and the end results are always really interesting, and useful of course!

I have felted a couple things. I think a bag that I made, maybe a hat.
I was re-using yarn that someone had started a sweater but never finished. So the felted look, really made the appearance a lot nicer.

It can work very well on items that were almost right but not quite, after shrinking them they can be stretched and blocked into a better shape and the texture is often wonderful
