Eye Surgery?

Have you had any form of vision corrective surgery? Have you thought about it? Do you feel it is worth the risk of going blind in one or both eyes? At what point to do you think your eyes are so bad that you really should get it?

I had lasik back in March and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I has 20/800 vision and now I have 20/20 in one eye and 20/15 in the other. I am more sensitive to bright lights, but I can live with it. I tell everyone I know who is thinking about it to do it! I took off early one Friday afternoon and had it done. I was back to work by Monday morning. I could see better right after the surgery as well.

I had the same great experience with Lasik surgery. I had it done about a year ago, and it really was the best thing that I could have done- worth every penny and more! I couldn't even see the big "E" on the eye chart without glasses before. I needed glasses for everything, including seeing to go to the bathroom at night. Now my vision is 20/30 in both eyes, and I see better without glasses than I did even with the glasses. I don't have any problems with halos at night, but my eyes are sensitive to light- the good thing is that I can now wear normal sunglasses instead of prescription ones! I never had any concerns about going blind in one or both eyes. The procedure is very common and well-refined now, and that risk is very remote. Just be sure to use all of the eye-drops exactly like they tell you to to prevent infection and to decrease the inflammation. This is the most important thing to do after the surgery.

Lasik - Laser eye surgery
I personally would rather wear glasses until the day I die, than have a laser anywhere close to my eye. That's my poem about laser corrective surgery (like Lasik) ha ha! :)
