HUNGER IN AFRICA - what do you think?

Right now there is yet another famine in Africa. Around 14 million people are very hungry, many on the edge of starvation. But why does it keep happening? Should we send them our food mountains? Or must Africa learn to feed itself? I would be interested in your honest opinions. Please note that there are no right or wrong answers.
