Have firefighters ever been to your house?

We have a outdoor fireplace and one night we were having a fire in it in our backyard and it was really high because we were burning a lot of dry wood. I went inside for a minute and the doorbell rang and it was a bunch of firefighters and their truck was on the street with all the lights on. They told me that our nieghbors had called because they could see the flames and thought our house was on fire.

They've not been to my house but they have been to my brother's. he was out walking the dog, on his return he could hear the smoke alarms in the house. He managed to get his wife and kids out then called the emergency services.
After they put out the fire they told him that had he been 2 minutes later he could have lost the house. He and his family were very lucky.
