Has Rosie O'Donnell Gone Over The Edge

Do you watch The View to find out what will come out of Rosie's mouth next? I didn't watch it before and I certainly don't watch it now. I am way too afraid! When Rosie first came on TV with her own show she was so great and the program was so uplifting and funny. She was warm and genuine. After Comumbine Rosie lost it. We watched as she spiraled downward and the network did nothing. We, the public said nothing. We kept watching. At least some of "we" did. It got to the point where I could no longer bare to watch her, afraid constantly that she was going to humiliate another guest on her show or go on yet one more tirade. I did not want to watch the woman that I had loved fail and fall. Then she was gone. Then again, the TV GODS saw an opportunity to use that NAME to gain money. I am so sorry that she fell into it. I am so sorry that Barbara Walters allowed her to fall into it. I thought Ms. Walters had more class and dignity than that..and now, a battle between Rosie and Donald Trump - who trumped that up? I fear for this poor woman's mental health. I fear for her partner's ability to withstand all the controversy; but most of all I fear for their children and all that this negative attention will bring on them. ~Donna

I don't watch the View, I'll be honest there. However I hear about it from my mother who is a very big fan of it. I guess she actually wrote them when Rosie came on there how she wasn't happy about it, which for her to write is pretty rare. She has since stated she plans to complain again. She has stated it's no longer the view but the Rosie O'Donnell show. She thinks having her there is ruining the show. I tried to watch her when she had her own show. It was ok in the beginning but after a few weeks it just didn't hold my interest. She seemed to be going out of her way to draw attention to herself. Now I will state she appeared on Nip/Tuck this past year a couple of times and did wonderfully. As an actress she can be very good, but she shouldn't be on a talk show.

She was good on Nip/Tuck, but I am very prejudiced about Nip/Tuck....I LOVE IT!!!! Someone started a crazy rumor that this was its last season. Oh my great Goddess I certainly hope not! ~Donna

I love Nip/Tuck as well. I hope it's not the last one. I'd like to see more of it. Of course we won't know for a while since the season just ended. I did enjoy the character she did on there. It was different then the usual women who chase after Christian.

You may be right, but I can remember the Old Rosie and I truly hope she is still in there, at least in her personal life. Thank you for your comment ~Donna

i don't watch it but i've heard some of the stuff she's said, rosie is known to speak her mind! it's good she's not letting her fame try and turn her into something she's not, she wants to say wut she feels so by all means, we do, it just doesn't come out in the news because we're not famous and didn't say it in front of a million viewers.

Thank you so much for your comment and your opinion. I am just concerned that she speaks before she thinks too often and as you point out, we are fortunate enough to not have what we say on tape to be played back to us. ~Donna

I don't think it's all that bad, Donna. You worry too much. Rosie and her mate are entertainers and her kids are going to be prone to a whole lot of issues that us "normal" folk don't have to go through publicly. Please try to keep in mind that Rosie's persona works for her--she is after all a comedienne. As most laugh-makers do, Rosie is probably more than likely loving a chance to hurl comical insults. As sad as it may seem to see it bluntly put, insults get laughs. Please don't stress yourself out over the small stuff. Rosie and her family have a strong bond and will be fine. Don't sweat the Donald. He's got thick skin, and if he doesn't, he can afford to order some a.s.a.p. lol ~Ciao~Shannon

You know, I personally think both were a bit ridiculous... Rosie and Trump. I do have to say though that Rosie has changed a lot since she first "came out". I think it changed her personality with the public. I'm not sure for the better either. I don't care if she's gay or straight, that's not what I mean. I just think she's been testing the waters to see how "whacked out" and "off the map" she can be before her adoring fans say ENOUGH. I think she may reach that point soon if she hasn't already!

I used to be a huge Rosie fan and loved her show but as you stated things have been on the decline then The View thing with Trump and so on. My mom watches The View everyday and now it seems just to see how she will get things going again and Rosie continues to egg things on and on eventhough it is now supposedly blown over she still makes her little comments.

Maybe you can keep me updated. It's easy for me to watch scary movies, but I really am afraid to watch her in case she "erupts". ~Donna

I personally see this as a TV *gimmick*. It started right before ore Trump's new season started. I 'think' the View's ratings had gone down with the addition of Rosie. Trump and Barbwa 'are' good friends or were...
