We got another offer on our house and just waiting for a response, we are hoping that we get what we are asking for which is still under asking price but hopefully will go through one way or another. But of course that is going to make my life a little bit of hell over the next few weeks. Oh well what are you going to do right?

Not sure what your question is, but I do wish you the best on this transaction. I think that buying and selling a house is one of the most stressful event in a person's life, up there with getting married and also getting a divorce.
I wish you well and hope that everything goes smooth for you!

wow thanks I just read my own discussion and even I do not understand what my question is either. Anyway, yes it is very stressful and I will say this much, it is the 8th time we are doing it. we both are so sick of buying and selling homes, that we do not know how realtors do it. I guess when they do not have the emotional part or the moving part of it it is probably easier than when it is your own house...anyway, I felt that getting married was not very stressful at all, the preparing for the wedding WAS

that is the problem, okay so we had one offer and it was not enough we started negotating and they just walked away. Then we got a contingent offer and we agreed with the price, but because it is contingent there is risk of her not following through with it but we will see, then we got another offer at $20K less than the contingent offer, so we asked them to come to the price that our other offer was at and they just said "well we do not want it at that price" nothing else, no counter no nothing so we are now assumign that they are just leaving the table....I am so sick of this, we have never dealt with people who just put in one offer and then leave, with no negotiations or whatever!

You should discuss with your wife. Both of you should discuss if you are going to accept offers under the asking price or not.
If you really want to accept it and she doesn't, try to explain to her why you want to accept lower prices. If you think you can get higher offers you should really accept the higher offer you can get.
