What would you say Gossip is..Do you consider it good or bad? WHY?

Its good time pass,but i never have done it in my life so i dont know what exactly would u get to do it.

The word 'gossip' originally referred to a person rather than the action. It comes from the word 'god-sib', in other words, a godchild of one's parents. Since one's parent's godchildren were often close friends but not part of the family, they were often regarded as people to whom one could tell all sorts of secrets and scandal! Today, of course, the word refers to often inaccurate information about a person which is passed from mouth to mouth. Because it is essentially talking behind someone's back and often gets distorted as it is passed from mouth to mouth, it is not a Christian act to take notice of it or to indulge in it. A 'gossip column' in a newspaper or a periodical is usually rather a different kind of information - generally snippets of news which don't fit well anywhere else. Many church magazines have Gossip Columns.

It could be good or bad.

ehh it depends on the gossip i guess..as long as its not about me its all good! lol lol..I love gossip! This time of year is so very boring for me,and we fotn get off the mountain much..soo i need as much drama as i can lol..and Gossip is just the best.life would be so boring without it! lol

I think gossip is when you talk about someone or people behind their backs and without them knowing about. Gossip can be a good thing or bad thing, depending on what the topic is about and if it is about someone in particular. It can work both ways so you need to be careful on the job otherwise you can get into trouble with your employer or with the person you are gossiping about.

Gossip is bad when a person generally goes around spreading information about another person or people. But geeral gossip between two good friends isn't bad because it's just between the two of them and wouldn't go out. It helps them to get an insight into another person based on their friend's viewpoint. But gossiping for the sake of gossip and generally giving out information and making up stories about a person is definitely bad.

Gossip is spreading rumors around when it is none of your business. Yeah, everyone does it, even though it's not right. I think that it just can't be helped, it's human nature.

Gossip is the thing that woman do, they can't help it, it's in there nature. woman have been known to gossip, I don't think nothing is wrong with gossiping. log as your not hurting anybody.

Gossip in itself is a bad word because it is relaying information without knowing its validity

I think there's no way for a gossip to be good. It's about talking about other poeple's private lives.
