A Gilbert woman was charged with drinking and driving after police pulled her over as they suspected she had been drinking and driving. After running tests on the woman, it was found that her blood-alcohol content was 0.15%. It would seem that she thought she could get away with drinking and driving as she had alcohol in a waterbottle. What was really sad about this whole thing was that she drove around in this condition with her two children with her (ages 4 and 6). Source: http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/1226mr-vodka1226-ON.html What kind of punishment do you think this woman should recieve? Do you think they should go as far as taking her children away from her?

Yes, she should have her children taken away from her. She endangered the lives of her kids, and should suffer the consequences. I think if the laws were harder on people who choose to drink and drive, then so many innocent lives would not be lost due to peoples stupidity and irresponsibility.

That was terrible, with her kids in the car. I think it would depend if she had done this before or not. If not, a hefty fine. If yes, the kids should be taken away from her.

That is terrible. I think her children should be taken away from her, for their safety, and not returned until she had gone through rehab and proved that she could stay "of the sauce". Many go through rehab but don't stay sober.

She should be arrested and charged with child neglect and forced to install a vehicle ignition that she has to blow into to start her car AND pay whatever the largest fine is that can be imposed. I don't think it's necessary to take the children away as that won't fix her problem.

Yes...I do. I think that she should be charged..and take some rehabilitation treatments..then if she sobers up and becomes responsible she can have her children back under supervision...

Well she should loose her licenses, and should have to play some sort of punshiment for putting her childern and other people lifes at risk. Maybe put in rehab I am sure this is not the first time she has done this.

if she is drinkning and not causing trouble after having drinking or driving while drinking, i do not think it is necessary to punish her or arrest her, if she was too drink to know where she was driving and forgot if she had kids with her then i think she should be taken home instead of arresting her as her two kids are with her.

She was endangering the lives of her children. She should do jail time and then be put in treatment. If she breaks the law again then she needs to go to jail and have the kids taken away. That is one thing we don't do is drink and drive. It's not worth it.

Thats inexcusable, how irrereposible the parents are these days, i wonder if they really care for their children, they can do what they want with their life, but do they have the right to ruin their childrens life too, i hope the law finds her unfit to be taking care of her children

Wow, she obviously has a drinking problem. I'm not so sure taking her kids away would even help but it would at least protect them. Perhaps they could go with their family members or something while mom goest to a demanded rehab? She has to have a drinking problem to actually first off go to those extremes to have a drink with her and to second off even begin to think it's okay to do this with kids in the car. Sad indeed. She definitely needs help.

I think that this woman should have her children placed in a foster home, until she can prove the she is worthy enough to stay sober for awhile. Then she should be allowed to get her children back. But she should also have her driving privelages revoked for awhile. Now I don't know if she might be charged with child endangerment as well, but I hope that she has learned a valuable lesson in this. She was very lucky not to have killed anyone before she was pulled over, including her children.

She should of been arrested for this. The fact that she had her children steps it up a notch even further! I hope they got her for endangering the wellfair of the children also. If she had vodka in her waterbottle this time....how many other times did she do this? The odds that its the first time are slim...its just the first time she got caught! Shame on her....if your going to do something stupid don't involve others especially your children.
