i am just discovering sort of rediscovering ambient music. right now i am listening to donato wharton 'is that why yr still on earth?' fuking beautful i must say. its like uh... i don't know. so pure. so poetic. so eltronic and.. like robots making flowers. i feel so connected to the 'real' world when i hear it. like i remember how advanced of a civilization this is, how alienated we are by our creations, our own technology. i feel like that digital love, computer staring in to its own eyes, reaching through the mirror and making love to a human being, neither one knowing who's the fake - kind of feeling. thank you whoever makes this gorgeous gorgeous music meme anomaly.*have you heard ambience? of ambience? what do you like about it? dislike? who's your favorite artist?

If you are into ambient and shoegaze, check out artists like M83, Milosh, and Maeror Tri. Some of the deeper ambient things really require you to listen to the song and take ot for what it is and not have any other activities going on at the time.

i love air and zero 7 for that kind of stuff. it's a bit more mainstream, but pretty good. zero 7 is good low-key gathering/party music, and air is just space out with the lights off and a spliff kind of music. look for air's cd premieres symptomes. also, look for amorphous androgynous (formerly known as the future sound of london). There sound has changed. A lot. You can download some free stuff at fsol.disenchanted.com
