Four days back I was talking to my sister and her husband over attending a relative's wedding. My other sister said she has to spend more money for coming out of station and that relative does not keep close relationship with her and why should she spend for them. For this my sister's husband said the other sister is calculative. But his wife i.e. my first sister told the other sister that I called her calculative. Why should I be unnecessary misunderstood? Hence I clarified for both the persons and made my position clear and my mind is calm now. But every time you cannot go and clarify for people. Then just leave it and do not take it to heart.

The first thing I would do is determine if there is any truth in that person's statement. Will the statement harm my family, business, personal relationships? If the answer is no then I don't worry about it. People are always going to assume things and gossip about things they know nothing about. Usually if you get upset it makes you look guilty. If it was a statement that could cause damage to my business or personal relationships then I would confront the person and get things out in the open. The truth shall set you free.
