We play hide and seek. I will get one of my kids to hold him while I run and hide. then they tell him "go find mama" and he will take off and run from room to room searching for me. Most times he finds me but sometimes I have to make a noise to help him to find me.

That's quite interesting. But too bad I do not have a big house and my dog would probably find me in 3 minutes. Haha.

Same! My dog doesn't really like playing with toys very much.. She's got very short interest.. she only seems to like to snuggle up next to me or on my lap instead of playing with her own toys.. sigh.. shouldn't have bought her so many toys in the first place!!

my doggie is special. she does not like playing with any toy even though she got one, she is not going to sit until she has finished eating part of it. when i come near her, she will jump and ask me to caress her :))

Eleanor and I play a type of fetch. She has a stuffed "donut" that she plays with and I toss it. She grabs it and runs back to me. Then she holds onto it and we play tug of war with it.

Wow Eleanor is really smart. My dog doesn't know how to play fetch. He will run towards the toy that I threw. But when it lands, he will just sniff it and run back to me without the toy. He likes to play tug of war though, but only for about 5 minutes and he will lose interest.

You have to get him to want to play with toys. My dog loses interest really fast. You have to buy a squeaky toy and keep squeaking it to make him really want it. Then when he starts biting it or playing with it you have to chase him and show him that you want it, which makes him want it more.

Yeah my dog loses interest in games and toys really fast too. He only likes toys that he can destroy. Those kong toys that are supposedly indestructible doesn't arouse his interest anymore. I bought him a lion soft toy that giggles, now the lion is bald as he ripped all of the lion's hair off.

We have a big open down stiars, that is opened up, so you can run in a complete circle going threw our den, kitchen, living room and family room before hitting the den again. My kids and my two St. Bernards use this as like a race track and will run around it. Sometimes my dogs will play keep away from my kids. When they see them rounding one side, they will run so that they can not catch up. It is funny to watch them.

My dog doesn't like toys much either though he will play fetch if I throw something he will run to get it. My dog also really likes to chase me! So, I run around the yard, or better yet, my children run around the yard, and my dog chases us. He also really likes just going for walks around our neighborhood. I have heard others say that they taught their pets to like toys by hiding dog treats in the toys so that hte dog has to play with the toy to get the treat out. For one example, I have seen the "kong" toy that is for dogs and people put a bit of peanut butter and a dog treat in (the peanut butter helps the dog treat stick inside better) and the dog will play with the toy and it teaches them to play with toys even when there is not a treat inside. Good luck!

My dog likes for me to get a towel and let him try to catch it or bite it. He barks to try and get it. It is so funny and he loves that game. He also likes to run after a ball.
