Do you think they are the same in the work place as a traditional degree? Do you get the same quality education?

I think earning a degree online can be of better quality than earning it in the traditional college setting. I have decide to earn a degree online attending Western Governors University. It is a competency based college which means you have to show that you have mastered the field of choice. There are also proctored exams and certifications that are required in order to get the degree. Some online degrees colleges are not as challenging especially if they are a for profit organization. All they focus on in my opionion is the money first.

OK, so let me ask you, will you tell people you got this degree online? Friends, family, coworkers? Will you put it on your resume that way or will you infer it was a traditional degree?

Actually I wouldnt have no problem telling people how I earned my degree. See, I chose my online college well. I am attending WGU which is highly accredited and holds accredidation that no other online college hold. Most of my test and assessments will be proctored so as long as I have competency in my skills and knowledge of my course. My degree holds the same weight but more than some traditional colleges. I am not going to just any college that cares less about their students and just want the money because they are a for profit organization. My college is a non-profit organization and costs much less than any other college I camed across. Plus if you are entitled to financial aid through FAFSA then your whole tuition is pretty much covered.

WGU does seem like a good choice, but how is the tuition? What do you pay per credit?
