Mahatma GANDHI never won Noble Peace Prize. why?

It's really astounding to see people knowing so much about this topic. Thanks for enlightening me. And in reality, Mahatma would definitely have rejected the prize saying,"it should be awarded to every Indian who stands peacefully beside me in our struggle for freedom". And there is a joke I've heard years before regarding the Nobel prize selection committee.One member says, "here are the three names selected, the first one is already well known worldwide in his field, the second one is very famous and outspoken, and the third one is relatively unknown quantity". Says the second one, "then Nobel prize won't gain attention by giving it to the first one, the second one will probably won't bother about it or may even reject it, so let's give it to the third one". Ringing any bells, friends?

Mahatma Ghandhi is a symbol of peace itself and i don't think that he need to won this prize

acutally noble was annonced for gandhi but due to several circumstances the price cannot be awareded to him and when they finally enrolled his name for the prize he was assassinated

Even withoout a Nobel Peace price, mahatma remains in people's heart as a symbol of peace.

Before 2nd world war gandhiji was nominated for noble prize but not given due to rascialism.but when he was chosen for, he was assasinated. Still then,Noble prize community should feel that.... there is nothing for gandhiji to lose. Mahtma Gandhi is Great!!!!!!
