Stars are bright. Trillions & Trillions in quantity. Why cant they fill the night sky to appear like a day?

the sky is not blue or lighted. The sky is not blue but it seems blue because of the sun. The stars are very far away and their light cannot light the sky because in space it cannot happen

because they are so far away and it takes so long for the light to reach earth. plus sometimes things block the light from getting here. the sun is a lot closer, and by a lot i mean milliions of light years, so if the stars moved closer they would like up the "night" sky pretty bright. but the stars are actually moving further away i think.
