not allowed to copy ??!!!!!!!

when i tried to paste something (a joke )in mylot i got a message saying only members with a rating of above 500 can paste.so what is this all about ?how can i know my rating? pl reply

heya, i dont know what that is about sorry. it doesnt happen to me and as you can see i dont have 500 posts. i usually only post from mylot but just then i tested to see if i could post from another program and it worked.

as suppose as i just read above me it has to do with spamming. maybe you have been reported for copying a discussion or something? i have never dome anything like this and wuld not.

Your rating is the number in () next to your user name. Not allowing pasting to anyone under 500 rating is a way mylot is trying to reduce the spam postings on the site. There are a lot of people who copy and paste other peoples responses or discussion as well as writing one response and copying and pasting that in all discussions that they respond to. Mylot is trying to deal with these by instigating that no paste until 500 rating rule.

but how come some people below 500 are allowed to copy as told by the 3rd reply
