No and I can not imagine an instance where I ever would. If my family were hungry etc.. I would approach the store manager and explain and ask to sweep floors, stock shelves etc.. for food. It is my opinion that in even such an extreme situation, few human beings would turn someone away who was truely in need and willing to work for what they need rather than top resort to thievery.

No way for a couple of reasons. If I did, then it would be my 'luck' that I would be caught but more importantly it is theft and if you have ever been a victim of theft you will understand what I mean. The goods that are taken are stolen and we all suffer for that because the business has higher insurance costs etc which are passed on to us, the consumer. Also it is stealing from the shareholders of the business which in many cases are ordinary people who are investing for the future.

I have never, ever done this...even if I thought about it, I think my conscience would eat away at me so much, I'd feel guilty just for thinking it. I have been with someone who shoplifted while I was in their presence...they didn't get caught, but when I found out about it, I wasn't impressed. We're no longer friends. And it makes me wonder if she's ever stolen from me.
