In the summer of 2004 i start my journey in Western Europe, with my friend, that lives in Munich, driving his car and wishing that we can have fun as much as we can. We left in one august morning, from Munich to Austria. It was a great morning, but with traffic jam everywhere. We got Genoa in the same day and we got in the city, late in the night. The way was great...i never seen such a great places...thats why i prefer to travel by car, not by plane...coz you miss all the joy of the road...I remember that Genoa was European capital of culture, reason that made Genoa an attraction for lots of tourists.Even though the city was empty, bars, clubs and even restaurants were closed too early for a capital of culture. This was a problem, coz we couldnt find any place to enjoy our staying there. NExt day we left Genoa, but, to make it more interesting, we didnt take the high way, we just drove on national roads,on the coast. We were heading to San Remo.Great city, expensive too.I dont want to remember how much i paid for cigarettes there, coz the shock was yet to come, in France, close to italian border. Seven euro for a packet...wow...its a lot, especially when you are coming from a place like romania, where i pay less than 50 cents for a packet. The way that we choose to drive was close to the coast. We pas thru San Remo,Ventimiglia, than up to Graas, in Provence, than Monte Carlo, Marseilles, Nise and finally we got Spain. We had a stop in Salvador Dali city, to see the museum. Was the year that they celebrate 100 years since Dali was born.He was a great man.Our final stop was in Sigez, 40 km south from Barcelona.I love the way spanish people celebrate there.I love the way they live their lifes, having fiesta everynight. So open mind people. We stayed for 3 weeks in Spain and than we took the ferry from Barcelona to Civitta Vechia, Italy. From there, we went to Rome and than Pisa, Verona, Florence, Toscana Valley, Bergamo and back to Austria.Tyrol area is perfect.Thats why i love Europe so much.Everywhere is History, everywhere there is something to learn from.I am too proud to be european.

Good discussions, somehow refreshing and positive. It seems that you had an extraordinary holiday. I only wish i would be able to go to Paris in this life... I'm gonna travel to Greece for this years end, along with some good friends.

Greece is nice. U should do that. Even that i will recomment you to visit some of their islands, but not in the winter..coz the sea is too rough and can be quite dangerous to travel with the ferry this time of the year. Its a nice country, close to you, soon borderless , thanks to our soon european union joining :) and pretty much the same culture, not to mention religion. Go for it and come back with pictures.
