comets - wondeful to behold and thankfully most of the time they miss us.  A sight to see when you look to the heavens
Comets are made up of frozen dust and gases, and have been described as large, dirty snowballs with icy centers. They often travel on extremely elongated orbits around the Sun. Some take 10 yrs and other take hundreds of years. The ones that get kinda close to the sun cause the tail called the coma to form. Comets have been seen more often if I read the information correctly. Hopes this helps you!
