honestly im a new member, its my 3 days i think.. as a new member i have really hard time thinking what topics should i make to get many responses.. if you come up to the point that making 500 topics with atleast half of them are quite really interesting or i say can be a hot topics gives you 2-3 responses will you quit writing to this site?for the writer its a waste of time and efforts bringing his mind thoughts and opinions taking back nothing..ryt..

Most of my responses have only received 5-10 responses and I haven't quit yet. I make most of money by responding to others discussions instead of making my own. Just because ur not getting that many people responding to ur discussion doesn't mean u should give up. Just try another way to make ur money!

yes i agree with u guys..actually running away is not the correct answer..there are so many interesting discussions to which you can respond and can earn good money too. i like responding to others rather than sending my own discussions.. coz i love exploring that how creative people can be.

Well said. Giving up because you aren't getting responses, while it may be frustrating, is no way to go through life. Besides, you might find that you are better at responding to other comments made by other people. I don't think I've created a topic yet that has received more than 5 responses.

i dont really start a lot of discussions, i only start when something came to mind. i have a lot of friends in my profile so i'm happy to say that so far, all of them never fails me...they will reply to my discussion mins after i started them.

responses to discussions are based on your rating and your profile pic! I know it is not good but it is a fact. Your rating is very critical as most of the Mylot members are aware that discussion could be deleted by administration if it is not good so some of them answer to discussion posted by seasoned members.

Totally agree... but then I think the easiest way to earn well out of mylot is by having a good downline... if you have even 5 active members only, it'd help greatly.... better than wasting your time posting alone just to find out you earned pennies in exchange for hours.. Though I still think mylot has some sort of fun not found elsewhere...

I haven't quit so far. I've only posted one discussion so far, and got 2 responses, Mylot is not just about posting discussions, its also about responding to them as well, it would be nice if more people read it but that's they way Mylot goes. Some get lots of response, others get none.

Please don't quit. MyLot is a wonderful place. You must give it a fair shot though. It is not posting discussions that works best for most people. (It does for a few.) It is responding to discussions that pays. I only post a new discussion when I feel that I have a good topic that will generate responses, not all of them do. I maybe post 1-3 discussions a week. Sometimes more depending on what is going on in the world. There are literally thousands of discussions to respond to, old ones, new ones, the days most popular...I usually check out new discussions first, or my friends discussions first and reply to those. You can also search discussions with no responses. You will make more in responding, than you will in starting discussions and replying to those that comment on your discussions. Don't quit, just find another way of doing things. Welcome to myLot, and if I can help, let me know.

It so doesn't matter! All you should care about ($$ wise) is getting at least one answer for each of your questions. If you ask a question and it doesn't get 1 answer it will not count as a point for you. Also, if you start one question and you get 10 replies for it and you answer all 10 of them back, you will only get credited once for your main question! (grrr) The comments you enter under your own question don't count. I know this is a$$ backwards and I hope myLot changes this soon to encourage better quality discussions.

I usually get a decent number of replies. Though if I started discussions and nobody was answering, I would just keep doing it. It wouldn't bother me. Usually people on my friends list will eventually answer.

If you are looking to make any money here you need to slow down on the topics and consentrate more on your responses. That is where the money is. Discussions are good too but responses are more important.

I find that controversial subjects get the most response. I was posting thoght provoking discussions and was getting 0 to 2 responses but whenever I post a controversial discussion they seem to come out of the wood work. So don't quit, besides you still get paid if you get responses or not.

yah your ryt, like the one topic here asking for poll trivia about her self thus getting many responses more than 100 as i remember..mylot is for discussions why those kind of message are permitted..
27 Dec 06
I am new to this site as well but I prefer responding than setting questions. If you look at most discussions they only receive a few responses especially if they are quite thought provoking. I have made a little bit of money but I see that as a bonus. I enjoy reading and learning about other peoples views. Have fun, its a great site.

this site is very good,my purpose joining here are to enhance my knowledge in cocept of writing, reading views really making me feel enjoy, but im partly sad why those members here with a great topic gets few responses and those nonsense topics here get more responses,as a fact some posted here is not really for discussions or personal views..

I definatly wont give up on this site. I am just a day old in this website and I have found that this place is actually better than most of the other sites. So if I get few responses or no responses, I am goin to use my time in responding to messages posted by other people and expressing my opinion about their discussion topics. Patience always rewards and I am sure that even I will get rewarded someday or the other.
